[HOTEL] Ibis Jakarta Tamarin - Standard 1 Double Bed

What a lovely offer from Ibis Hotels to stay at one of their legendary hotel in Menteng area. Located on the road side of a hustling street at Wahid Hasyim, Ibis Jakarta Tamarin is a very ideal hotel for office gathering or just business travel. But after we stayed there, we think it's also good for weekend getaway. :)

LOBBY

The lobby is lovely with high ceiling. Well, Ibis hotels' lobby are quite similar to each other, but still same lovely area. Comfortable and friendly. There are always internet connection for our convenience to communicate. A simple gesture, but it's very needed nowadays.

Standard 1 Double Bed

Inviting, modern and cosy, with a comfortable bed and a functional bathroom. The ibis room has got everything you need for a pleasant stay. Bright, colorful and modern, the air-conditioned Standard Room offers fantastic accommodation at a great price. It features 21 cable television channels, a work desk, tea/coffee making facilities and comfortable double bed. Up to 2 adults. No rollaway.

I found a strawberry shortcake on the table when I came inside the hotel room. With a simple card from the hotel with our photo printed on it. So cute! Whenever I stayed at Accor hotels, they always put something nice like that. Simple but a tremendous gesture for us. The room isn't very spacious, but very nice. Very comfortable. The put a nice towels with a shape of teddy bears. OMG! Cute! I waited my hubby for coming that night. And around 5pm, he was coming. Yaaaaaaay.

DINNER TIME

We had our dinner at Taste Restaurant. It was lovely, and they served buffet also for an event or something like that. I didn't really remember hahaha.. I was overwhelming with our dinner menus. LOL. There were only several people there, enjoyed the buffet. We had to wait for our dinner dishes, but we could enjoy the buffet also. "Great!" my tummy screamed. Hahahaha..

Ayam Bakar Taliwang 85k

Lombok-style grilled spicy spring chicken, with chili sambal & raw vegetables salad, and steamed rice

It's spicy but addicting. I couldn't stop eating it hahaha. My hubby looked at my face with pity, but I told him, "It's ok. It's spicy but it's really good." The texture of the chicken was tender and juicy. Delicious flavour with well-seasoned taste.

Ayam Woku Belanga

We didn't have the courage to try the dish. Sorry Chef. We hate chili hahaha.. But according to them, it was super delicious for those who love spicy food. A recommended dish!

Saint Elloy

Soft and moist texture with not-too-sweet taste. Definitely a recommended dessert! If you know me well, you must know that cheese and cake are never a good combination for me. LOL. So if this a recommendation, you should try!

Brownies Chocolate

I think they have one of the best pastry chef! This one was also good and addicting. No guilty feeling when munching this cake, because it's not too sweet. Nom nom nom.

BREAKFAST

Same place for our breakfast. Taste Restaurant. A different ambiance in the morning. At night, it felt a little bit fancy, but in the morning it felt very modest. Great for family. Very near the pool. So you can actually swimming while having your breakfast hahaha.. The egg station placed outside the restaurant, facing the pool.

DINNER BY ROOM SERVICE

On the second night, we decided to have our dinner by room service, because we were too lazy to go down to the restaurant hahaha.. We had our hard time to choose the food, so many good options LOL. And finally after some time, we chose 2 dishes, finally. :)

Nasi Goreng Special 85k

Special fried rice, with pickles, chili sambal & crackers

Generous portion with delicious flavour. My hubby loved it, since there was no chili sambal in it. LOL. We asked for no chili, of course. And they made the egg in omelette type instead of sunny side up. Different, but it's a nice touch, indeed.

Soto Betawi 85k

Jakarta's traditional beef & vegetable stew in coconut milk, with chili sambal, crackers and steamed rice

Love the broth but the beef were hard to chew. So I just finished the broth with steamed rice hahaha.. I let hubby finished the beef. He was very happy, I think. LOL.
