[HOTEL] Novotel Jakarta Mangga Dua Square - Deluxe Room

After few weeks without staycation, finally I had another one. It's not close to my place, but not too far. We stayed at Novotel Jakarta Mangga Dua Square. It's in Mangga Dua Square complex with other hotels. By the way, I didn't go to Mangga Dua Square while I was in the area since I never liked to shop there. Sometimes it's too crowded I wanted to go home right away. Hahahaha.

Novotel Jakarta Mangga Dua Square, located in the capital of Indonesia, near to Batavia Old Town, state-of-the-art leisure facilities. Close to local business and precisely near JIExpo Kemayoran, shopping and entertainment options, and only 30 minutes from the international airport. When we came to check in, our room wasn't ready yet. So they gave us welcome drink, and we waited in GourmetBar. After 2 hours, we checked and still wasn't ready. Finally around 5pm we could get inside our room. We were very very tired.

Comfortable deluxe room with cosy bed and pillow. The room also have big sofa and work desk. It was very convenient for us. I used the work desk to open my macbook and edit photos. Hubby loved the big sofa. He could lay down there. My complaint was only about the AC, which was not cold enough. Especially when the weather outside was very hot.

Dinner Time

We should be having dinner at GourmetBar. But when we called and spoke to them, they said that they didn't know about the dinner plan. Then we had to wait for their confirmation. I called 7pm and finally we had confirmation at 8pm that they would send it to our room. Well, finally 10pm we had our dinner. Hungry tummy. They said there were miscommunication and they apologized over and over again.

Nasi Goreng Mangga Dua 95k

Wok fried rice served with chicken satay, prawn balado, prawn crackers, pickles and sambal lado

Grilled Australia Tenderloin 200gr 275k

Grilled Australian tenderloin served with choices of potatoes, sauteed green vegetables and choice of sauce

Pisang Owol 50k

Pan seared banana with sweetened condensed milk and chocolate sprinkles

Almond Nougatine Cake 70k

Genoice based layering with white chocolate mousse and crushed almond caramel

We loved the food.
The fried rice was delicious with juicy prawn and chicken satay.
Rich and delicious flavour.
I gave the tenderloin to my hubby. He was very kind to cut it into cubes hahaha.
The tenderloin was addicting! Trust me.
I said to hubby, "Don't give it to me anymore. It's yours."
But everytime he fed me, I opened my mouth HAHAHAHAHA.
And those desserts! OMG! Pisang Owol. One of the best banana desserts, I guess.
It was tender and moist and sweet and delicate and fluffy and.. and.. superb!
The almond nougatine cake was soft and delish with melt-in-your-mouth texture.
I say, that was one of the best late-dinner so far.

BREAKFAST

We had breakfast on the first day at Food Exchange. The variety of the food were incredibly a lot. It was a very big place. We woke up late, so when we came to the restaurant, it was pretty crowded. But good thing, they could refill the food quite fast.

LUNCH TIME

We got a complimentary lunch time, and it was another buffet at Food Exchange. Yaaaay. The place was quite empty since not many people wanted to have lunch at hotel, right? But when I asked them, they said, there would be some people meeting there and ordered the buffet. Wow, cool right? And the food was amazingly delicious. So many food in front of me. OMG!

BREAKFAST

Since we had breakfast at Food Exchange the day before, we tried breakfast at Premier Lounge. Different kind of food, for sure. But not so many variants.  The benefit for us was that we could have our breakfast with serene and calm ambiance. And it was worth it. You can order some food on the menu, but it's not as much as the buffet at Food Exchange. So, if you want more food, you should have breakfast at Food Exchange. But if you want to have breakfast with comfortable atmosphere and serene ambiance, please go to the Premier Lounge. Your choice.

Thank you Novotel Mangga Dua Square for the hospitality. We were very happy and satisfied with the staycation. Definitely recommended place to stay when you wanted to have weekend getaway from your works.
