Busaba A Thai Cafe at Pacific Place SCBD Jakarta

March 6th, 2018. When I saw Busaba, I thought it was a fine dining restaurant. But when I finally visited the place, it was not an intimidating fine dining, it was just a comfortable Thai cafe. They set in two areas. The restaurant area, and in the middle of the mall area. Maybe you can say it, island restaurant. When you come to Pacific Place, you will know what I meant.

When I found out that it was under Jitladda Group, I was very happy. Must be very good, then. Hahaha. Well, I'm not a maniac fan of Thailand food. But when I eat Thai food, it should be not far from "good taste with not too spicy flavour." Well, no need to say about the place. It is fantastic. The golden ambiance is a very nice touch. I think it will make us feel like in Thailand. LOL.

Hat Maya Sunrise 65k

Passion fruit juice, home lemongrass syrup, lime juice, grenadine and pineapple juice.

Sweet and very refreshing. Such a thirst-quenching. Perfect combination between passion fruit, lemongrass, lime, pineapple and grenadine.

Tom Yam Goong 85k

Traditional Thai soup with prawn, mushroom and lemongrass. (For 2 persons)

Although it looked very spicy, but it wasn't that spicy. The tender and juicy prawn was the star of the dish. I wasn't really into tom yam goong, but when they served it not spicy, I won't forget it. Flavourful, a bit spicy, sour and fragrant. Perfect dish for me.

Fish Cakes (Tod Man Pla) 75k

Deep-fried light curry flavoured fish cakes.

The fish cakes were very fragrant. And good thing, they were all tender and delicious. The presentation was cute. 3 pieces of fish cakes, served like satay. Very unique, right?

Prawn with Vemercelli (Goong Op Wunsen) 95k

Baked prawns with vermicelli, black mushrooms, spring onion, Chinese celery and garlic in clay pot.

Not a beautiful presentation, but the taste was delicious. Well-seasoned with big prawns and delicious mushrooms. The vermicelli was quite soft with flavourful taste.
