[CLOSED] CAFÉLULU at Lippo Mall Kemang Jakarta

April 20th, 2018. Finally after some times, I went to CAFÉLULU with Aline and Cindy. They invited us since the opening, but we haven't been able to come, until that lovely day, for the spring selections menu.

“CAFÉLULU plays homage to a range of world avors that’s locally inspired.” The comfort food focused menu mainly takes inspiration from the streets of Bangkok, Tokyo and Los Angeles for its modern American- Italian fare. With an array of local favorites dishes. CAFÉLULU aims to change the café culture & provide comfort food for local community in Jakarta.

Occupied near the main lobby, CAFÉLULU caught my attention with their colourful atmosphere. Pink walls, yellow roof outdoor, bamboo stools, rattan seats, green plants everywhere. The concept was very particular, with outdoor and semi-indoor area. I fell in love right away to the place. Beautiful.

Cucumber & Lime Iced Tea 45k

Yogurt Tea 45k

Coconut Delight 45k

We tried 3 beverages, and my favourite was Yogurt Tea.
Not because the others two weren't delicious.
But, because I never liked cucumber drinks and coconut drinks. LOL.
The yogurt tea was very good, refreshing, thirst-quenching.
Well, we walked from Kemang Raya to Lippo Mall Kemang.
So, we really needed a fresh drinks hahahaha..

Spicy Lettuce Salad 65k

chili dressing, brioche crumbs, beef bacon bits

It was such a crunchy salad. Very fresh and delicious. A little bit spicy, but only a little bit. Salad was never my favourite dish, you know. But this one was one recommended salad. Couldn't stop eating it. A very good starter.

Hawaiian Pizza 95k

pickled pineapple, smoked chicken, marinara, roasted spring onion

To tell you the truth, the presentation wasn't that sexy. But after one bite, you won't stop. The three of us were actually fighting for the pizza hahaha.. Generous topping of ``smoked chicken with delicious marinara sauce. Well-seasoned.

Chicken Bao 75k

tsukune pattie, tare, kimchi mayo

Not really my favourite. Maybe because the kimchi mayo. Not a fan of kimchi, actually. But my friends loved it. So it must be very good.

Steak & Chips 215k

pan-roasted sirloin steak, hand cut fries, "sauce mentega"

Tender and juicy sirloin steak. Served with hand cut fries and "sauce mentega," definitely one recommended dish for steak lovers like me. But I prefer no sauce for my steak. I think it became a habit for me. :)

Chicken Confit 90k

brioche crumbs, roasted radish, pomme purée

My favourite! The chicken meat was super tender. And mixed perfectly with the pomme purée. Silky and moist. Melt in your mouth. I hope I didn't have to share with my friends LOL. The brioche crumbs enhanced the crisp texture to the chicken. Super recommended!

Matcha Honey Toast 55k

vanilla bean ice cream, marshmallow

A perfect dessert to end our lovely lunch. A great portion for the 3 of us. The toast was very tender with sweet flavour from the vanilla bean ice cream and marshmallow. Couldn't stop munching.

Thank you CAFÉLULU for the delicious spring selections. Definitely a recommended place to have lunch or dinner with family and friends.
