I was very lucky to have a chance to stay at Hotel Gran Mahakam. As a 5-star boutique hotel, Gran Mahakam designed with a blend of classical and modern style in an ambiance of unparalleled elegance. When they asked me to stay there, I was super happy.

The lobby is stunning with beautiful decoration. And they are famous with always-different-theme on every occasion. It's always good to come inside a hotel and finding warm atmosphere and friendly ambiance. It's elegant but not intimidating. Dazzling.

The room isn't spacious, but it's a very warmhearted room. It's homey and cosy. The room isn't the type of minimalist ambiance, or a fancy one. It's just beautiful and I felt very relaxed. The pillow was comfortable, fluffy and definitely addicting. And it was super duper huge. We could use it for pillow-fighting, but I would absolutely lose. Hahaha..

AOKI Japanese Cuisine has been reputed as one of the most stylish dining venues in the city. With a modern and private dining concept, our signature Japanese restaurant in Jakarta Selatan serves fusion Japanese cuisine that will leave your senses completely amazed.

We got a complimentary set-menu at AOKI Japanese Cuisine. Yaaaay! Ms. Dwi served us both with a nice hospitality and very helpful with the set-menu. We were very happy with the food. I was still full at the time, so I let my hubby finished the rest of the menus. He loved them all, I could see big smile on his face. *big grin*

I love all the food, especially the Truffle Beef Bowl.
The Garden Salad was also one of the best salad I've ever tried.
The Sake Yaki Maki was good but as I said before, I was too full.
Couldn't finish it *sobbing*
I love the hand roll, but prefer no soy paper.
Shabu Shabu was dabest. Fresh vegetables and premium beef.
Love the wedang ronde, but didn't really like the Es Kopyor Durian.
Well, that's all, folks. *happy tummy happy face*

BREAKFAST

The famous Le Gran Café Restaurant in Jakarta Selatan will tease your palate with an array of superb International buffet choices and an extensive a la carte menu featuring traditional Indonesian specialties as well as Western, Asian and Japanese cuisine.

We had our breakfast at Le Gran Café. Well, I've been there before for lunch or dinner, but it's the first time for breakfast. Thanks again to Gran Mahakam for this staycation. Yay yay yay! I loved the food, too bad they didn't have salmon sashimi. LOL. The pastry was one of the best there. Another happy tummy happy face. Hooray!
