Bakmi Yong Yam Singkawang Mangga Besar Jakarta

February 15th, 2015. I went to Mangga Besar area with hubby and his mom. Actually, his mom wanted to buy layer cake for Chinese New Year. So, we took her to traditional market in dwiwarna street. While waiting for her, we sat in a noodle house called Bakmi Yong Yam (Singkawang, 1928). It's located exactly across 7-Eleven near Husada Hospital.

The place was small, but quite nice if you only eat noodles. Well, it's not a nice place to hang out with friends for hours. So you better just eat noodles, then go home, or find another place to chit chat :D It's not a fancy place, just small place to eat delicious Singkawang noodles.

Ice Tea 2k

It's like any other ice tea. Tea with ice. Cold. Refreshing. Nice one :)

Bakmi Yong Yam Jumbo 26k

It's a very jumbo size noodle. On top of the noodle were steamed pork, sweet pork, shrimp and steamed dumpling.  Really generous with the meat. I love the noodle. It's a slim type of noodle. Typical of Singkawang noodle. Tasted so good. Recommended. Btw, the plate was quite unique. Shaped leave plastic plate :)

Bakmi Yong Yam 20k

It's the same noodle and meat, but in smaller portion than the jumbo one, and less meat. So if you like more noodles and more meats, try the jumbo one, or the special ones. They have this special 1, or 2, or 3. The differences were only about the contents. :)

It's so nice to know about a delicious place. Thanks to my mom-in-law for introducing us the place. Yeah, although it's already years there, I just found out. But, better late than never, right? :)
