[CLOSED] Kiwami Gandaria City Jakarta

February 6th, 2015. I went to Gandaria City for a lovely meet up with my bestest friends. At noon, I met my brother first, because he planned to eat there. So, I met him at Kiwami. Actually I saw this place the last time I went to Gandaria City. But, we planned to eat somewhere so didn't try this one at the moment. That day, I wanted to try this place.

Okonomiyaki is quite popular in Japan because not only tasty but also reasonable and fun to eat. Our Okonomiyaki origins from Douton bori, Osaka where is famous for the battleground of Okonomiyaki. We are willing to deliver the real Okonomiyaki to Indonesia with famous Otafuku source, and also serve Yakisoba, Sobameshi and Japanese dessert cooked exactly same in Japan. We were established in 2007 in Japan and currently run Japanese, Italian, Ethnic, bear garden style restaurants as well as dessert shops and cafe in Tokyo, Nagoya and Shanghai. This is our first restaurant in Jakarta.

Located on UG floor, Kiwami was a small place with only few seats. I forgot to count. But you can sit in front to the place, it's like a bar, with 3 seats. You can see how they cook your meal, too. It was a lovely place, with wooden table and red colour seats.

Okonomiyaki

Savory Japanese snack made from fresh eggs mixed with locally-grown vegetables and fresh meats or seafood, topped with mayonnaise and bonito flakes. Grilled teppan style, our Okonomiyaki is sure to please the tastebuds.

It's not pancake, it's not martabak, it's not pizza.. But it's surely more addictive than those three.. The beef, the cheese, and the egg were complimenting each other. It was thick, savoury, rich of flavours and very tasty. Recommended.

Kakigori with Ice Cream on top 25k

I thought it will be a small portion, turned out it was huge. Well, I was already full, so I stayed longer there to finish the kakigori. The ice cream was very delicious. It was sweet and of course very refreshing. The longan fruit, nata de coco and the red bean enhanced the flavour.

So happy to find a new place like Kiwami in Gandaria City. They have friendly staffs with lovely smiles. I know for sure that I will come back to this place again. Ganbatte Kiwami!
