[CLOSED] Maoki Coffee & Food at Darmawangsa Square Jakarta

April 5th, 2017. Today I planned to go to a new place that open their latest outlet in PIM. So, when I asked Cindy to come with me, she agreed happily hahaha. Then we planned everything the night before. Of course we planned in front of Aline, since she cannot come. We wanted to include her in our food journey without her *we want to make her jealous for sure LOL* I'm joking Lin!! *big grin* Well, I presented to you. Maoki Coffee & Food.

A small place with comfortable seats. It's not hard to find the place, since it's inside Darmawangsa Square, on the Ground Floor, and inside Barber Club. But you can come from outside. It's near entrance gate of Darmawangsa Square. They have outdoor area for smoking too. Just two tables. When I came, there's no other customers. Then after Cindy came, some people came too. Fortunately, we've already took photos. Hihihi. By the way, Mao Ki means "Do you want it?" in Bugis. The expression is used to offer something to eat or drink during mealtime. It's very cute. :)

Mao Kopi? 24k

Cindy ordered the coffee. I tasted a sip. I think it's quite good. Their speciality is palm sugar. They used it for their drinks. So, the coffee was sweet. Perfect for me since I didn't really like bitter coffee. Definitely a keeper.

Mao Milo? 28k

When I ordered this one, we laughed. Cindy said, "Azka order Milo sometimes." Yeah, I'm like a child, right? Hahahaha. Actually, I love Milo since I was a kid. Until now. And it's good. It's always good to drink Milo. Splendid flavour with rich texture of the milk. Hmm.. Ice Milo.. refreshing!

Croque Madame 59k

Grilled smoked beef and cheese sandwich topped with gratinated mornay sauce, cheese, and egg. served with lightly dressed mix green

At first, we wanted to try another dish. It's chef recommendation. I forgot the name. But, when I saw the croque madame at the menu, I wanted to try their croque madame. Fortunately, Cindy agreed. So we ordered croque madame. Perfect sunny side up. Ulalaaaaa. Love the texture of the smoked beef. I only had one complaint. It tasted too salty. Hope they will make improvement of it.

Now I know where to go when I'm in Darmawangsa area. Definitely will be back soon. I wanna try their another dishes.
