[CLOSED] Kalaku Coffee & Company at Pesanggrahan Kembangan Puri Jakarta

April 16th, 2017. I had a birthday invitation at noon around Pesanggrahan street, so before that, I planned to go to a coffee shop nearby. I looked around the venue and voila! Kalaku.

From the facade, it's quite nice, with 3-cars parking lot. But when I stepped inside, I found it quite oldies. It's very spacious, with several tables and seats scattered neatly all around. There're men doing some works near the barista. They politely said sorry for the inconveniences. They have smoking area outside, only 2 tables. The barista worked alone, then another man came. But, it's only us, so they weren't very busy. Well, please enjoy my simple review then.

Caffee Nutella 35k

As usual, I asked the barista first. If I cannot drink coffee but I want to drink coffee, what should I drink? He said, "Caffee Nutella is good. I will make it not too coffee for you." Yaaaaay. And it was really delicious. It's coffee but full of Nutella. Love it. Sweet flavour with rich texture of Nutella, for sure.

Banana Bread 25k

It's not really special, but it's okay. The texture was fantastic. Sometimes they made the banana bread too crumbly. But this wasn't like that. Tasted good too. They didn't have many food or pastry. So, I guess it's the banana bread or the brownies. I wasn't in the mood for brownies. So, banana bread, then.

Hokkaido Cheese Tart 18k

Actually, I wasn't very sure about this one. But, instead of brownies, I thought I prefer this one. So I ordered this hokkaido cheese tart. Its presentation wasn't convincing enough but I think I wanted to try this one. And.. it's delicious. The texture was great. Tasted perfectly delightful. This is what we sometimes called: "Don't judge the book by its cover." Recommended.

Hope to be back again soon. Wanna try their other food, for sure.
