Mélati Bakehouse at Thamrin Residence Jakarta

April 12th, 2017. A hidden gem inside Thamrin Executive Residence. Harina, the baker, wanted to serve people with really good pastries, so she followed her passion to open a place of her own. Mélati Bakehouse.

When I saw the place from the photos on their IG account, I thought it's very spacious. That's why when Aline, Cindy, Ivan and I arrived at the place, I thought I was lost. Hahaha. Then, Aline said, "It is Melati. Look at the name on the door." And I was like, "OMG! It's so cute! I thought it's like a big restaurant hahaha." So we came and took photos. We talked to the owner and the marketing person. Turned out, they opened this bakehouse for people to enjoy their delicious pastries. And they delivered their pastries to hotels and coffee shops. Well, let me tell you a little bit about this place through my photos.

From all of the food that we tried, the almond croissant and pain au chocolate were my favourites. But each of them had their own characters. The most unique pastry was cruffins. A cruffin is a hybrid of a croissant, a popular French pastry, and a muffin. Butter croissant.. hmm.. say no more, right? Ugh, I was sorry that I didn't take away them for my hubby. Huft.. Well, have to be back there soon, then. Hahahaha.. Btw, they have 50% discount for yesterday's sales. And they were so good, they gave us discount for everything that we ate there hahaha. So happy. Well, they're very friendly. We talked and laughed and shared each other about coffee shops. Hope they will co-operate with many places. Keep up the delicious bakehouse!
