[EVENT] 7 Nights at Sailendra JW Marriott Jakarta

March 30th, 2016. I always love coming back to JW Marriott. Lovely people with lovely ambiance. Even though it's a 5 stars hotel but I never felt intimidating there. It's like coming home, actually. Hahaha.. I wish yaaaaa *big grin* Actually they're having this event called 7 Nights at Sailendra: Indulge seven different cuisine from east to west every night in the week.

Known as the best buffet in town and strategically located in the heart of Jakarta business and commercial area, Sailendra Restaurant offers you seven different gastronomic journeys every night in a week to delight your taste buds. Our culinary team will magically change the famous Sailendra’s live station every night to deliver the best culinary experience to the guests.

We were seated on a long table accompanied with delicious snacks in the middle. And not long after we sat, they served welcome drink, a beautiful drink.

Start your dinner experience on Monday with the staple foods of Chinese cooking including the rice, noodles, vegetables, and sauces and seasonings. Indulge our Chinese dishes specialties such as peking duck with special sauce and wonton noodle as the highlights of the night.

Start your Monday with family dish like Chinese food. :) Actually they served roast duck, fried flat rice noodle and wonton with vegetables. Love the roast duck and the fried flat rice noodle. The wonton was just okay, nothing special for me. *sorry chef*

As one the most vibrant and colourful cuisines in the world, Indonesia food will be showcased on Tuesday night. Savor wide varieties of Indonesia most favorite sambal, rendang, nasi goreng, sop buntut and more to satisfy your local food craving.

For a lovely Tuesday dinner, Indonesian food definitely the best. They served Ayam Goreng Rica Rica on the table. For those who loves spicy dish, should try this.

Wednesday night is the night that cannot be missed for the seafood lovers. Using only the freshest seafood products, Sailendra Restaurant delights you in a vast selection such as lobsters, oysters, prawns as well as salmon, and let our chefs cook it to your liking.

Wednesday, here come the seafood. Prawn tempura, salmon and lobsters. Definitely delicious. The lobsters were the best. I think I will be back only for those lobsters. LOL. Lobsters topped with melted cheese. OMG!!!

As for the Thursday night, our Executive Chef Francisco will bring in the authentic taste and true aroma of Latin cuisine to diners at Sailendra Restaurant. Together with his culinary team, he will prepare a tantalizing buffet spread such as gnocchi, pepato cheese and varieties of pizza.

Thursday. Latino dinner. Gnocchi and pepato cheese. Those two were quite new to me. I think I ate Gnocchi once and didn't really like it. This Gnocchi was different. It was delicious. And the pepato cheese? Wow. It was heaven for cheese lovers.

Gnocchi are various thick, soft dough dumplings that may be made from semolina, ordinary wheat flour, egg, cheese, potato, breadcrumbs, cornmeal, or similar ingredients, with or without flavourings of herbs, vegetables, or sweet things like cocoa or prunes.

Pepato is a semi-hard sheep milk cheese with peppercorns. Pepato has its main origin in Sicily where it is part of the regional cooking. Usually is used as 2–4 months aged cheese, but a mild younger version can easily be found in Italian stores.

If you are craving for juicy and succulent BBQ meats, come and dine with us on the Friday night. Offering a wide selection of of freshly-grilled meats such as ribs, briskets and steaks, this would be the place to satisfy your carnivore cravings.

Friday night is perfect for meaters! The meat looked so dry, but when you ate it, it was tender. Well-seasoned and delicate enough for a looked-dry meat like that hihihihi.. If I wasn't too full, I could eat the whole plate LOL.

Experience the aroma and taste of authentic Italian cuisine every Saturday night and indulge yourself with variant of antipasti, homemade pastas along with ‘make your own pizza’ of your choice.

Best food for saturday night, chit chat with your best buddies or family. What can I say about pizza? Nothing!

Immerse yourself in this scrumptiouns journey with fresh Mezzeh - selection of small dishes as appetizers and other selections of Middle Eastern dishes as you end the gastronomic journey on the Sunday night.
