SATOO
SATOO was always be one of my favourite hotel buffet. You can find anything there. From seafood to pork, from fruit to dessert. Anything. And the place is beautifully amazing. Comfortable with enough space for us to dancing around from one station to another.
SATOO is all about the culinary exploration of Asian and international cuisines. Chic and modern are the first impressions one gets upon entering the casual cafe area and seeing the dessert station featuring a chocolate fountain and an irresistible display of cakes, pastries, souffles, ice creams and jajanan pasar (traditional Indonesian snacks).
There are 12 interactive open kitchen stations featuring various types of cuisines and dishes, including Indian, Western, Chinese, Indonesian, salad, sushi, sashimi, barbecue, noodles, pasta, desserts, fruits and jamu (traditional Indonesian herbal concoctions).
SHANG PALACE
When I came in to this place, I felt like I'm in China town. LOL. Well, it's combination of red and black and china hahaha.. It's also came with delicious food and cozy table.
An advocate of the fragrance of Chinese culture, Shangri-La’s signature restaurant Shang Palace showcases traditional Cantonese cuisine and provincial specialities in an elegant and tranquil setting.
On Supreme Brunch, the connecting restaurants will feature special stations that only available exclusively during the event in addition to the daily favorites such as:
"Very Important Kids" station, offering a range of fun food especially created for our young guests including animal face burger, watermelon pizza, smiley potato croquets, and funny sandwiches and cupcakes.
XXL carving station featuring roasted whole beef leg, chicken, lamb, prime rib, assorted fish and ham.
Tempura station serves selection of seafood and vegetables deep fried to perfection
Thai Corner, presenting a selection of Thailand specialties such as Massaman curry, spring rolls, green curry, fresh Thai beef salad, grilled Thai style chicken wings and mackarel.
Virgin Mary station, where guest can create their favorite Virgin Mary mixed with their option of spices. Bloody Mary (alcoholic version) also available in a la carte option.
Juice station, "create your own" refreshing Sunday juice with the extensive option of fresh fruit available.
Ice tea station, where guests can choose their own fruit to be infused in their tea
A carnival of Indonesian favorite traditional and street food will be available in the area between the Shang Palace and SATOO lobby. Too bad because of so many food, I didn't try the oxtail soup. *sobbing* I really wanna try the oxtail soup. Next time, I guess it will be the first thing that I try. :)
During the weekend, our little guests can also join the fun Kidszone activities by paying 50K per child. The activities include face painting, colouring, pony ride, building blocks, and bouncing castle.
#onthetable
I don't have to be chatty about the food that we ate at the time. They were all delicious and made our tummies smiling all the time. I started my journey with seafood and seafood and a lot of seafood. LOL. I love the oyster, prawn, crab, lobster, fish. Well, it seems I love any kind of seafood. Hahaha..
I never liked Indian food. So yeah, it's not my order when I had Indian food on the table. But, I love pork. So, when they have pork in their cuisine, definitely I will try the dish hihihi.. For pasta lovers, they have different kind of pastas. I tried some of them and I thought, "Well, not really my favourite but not bad for pasta experience."
What about their dim sum? Shang Palace is one of the best place to eat dim sum, I guess. I love their food. Shoot! I'm drooling right now while writing about those stuffs and wanna go back there again. Empty my tummy and fill it with those delicious food. OMG. And of course, the dessert. One of the best. Like a quote I found out there: "There's always room for dessert." So yeah, I ended my culinary journey with lots of dessert.
Thanks Shangri-la, Satoo and Shang Palace for the mouthwatering food. Definitely worth the price!!!
