[CLOSED] Nanyang Malaysian Klang Bak Kut Teh PIK Jakarta

February 21st, 2016. After having a delicious buffet, me and my @DailyFoodSeeker drove ourselves to Pantai Indah Kapuk area to taste another food. Nanyang. It's Malaysian Klang Bak Kut Teh. And I was so curious. Bak Kut Teh from Malaysia was never my favourite, actually. But, I've already read reviews about this one, and I hope I will have the same feeling after eating their signature dish.

Specialist at Malaysian Klang Bak Kut Teh. Original recipe with healthy herbs and spices. Enjoy the sensation of Freshest pork meat.

Located at The Gallery Metro Broadway, Pantai Indah Kapuk, Nanyang was easy to find with red-black colour on the facade. When we arrived, they closed for 2 hours, before open again at 5pm. So, we could taking pictures with no crowd, in private session. The place wasn't very spacious but quite nice for family lunch or dinner. They also have 2nd level for more private rooms.

Fragrant Rice 9k

This is so good. I love it so much. The texture was perfect with amazing taste. Absolutely will order this again.

Nanyang Yam Rice 18k

Not my favourite. Somehow it's tasteless for me. I prefer the fragrant rice. Definitely. Even though it's Nanyang's signature savoury rice.

Deep Fried Squid with Spicy Salt & Pepper 45k

Actually squid was never my favourite. But this one, yeah, I found it delicious. Well it was spicy, but for those who love spicy food, they will love it. Yup, no doubt, they will love the golden-brown freshly fried squid. It was a pure delight.

Deep Fried Chicken Mongolian Style 45k

This was a spicy sweet salty dish. Somehow mongolian style using beef, but it's very cute to give chicken a chance LOL. I love the texture of the chicken. Quite juicy with unique taste.

Deep Fried Prawns with Butter Flakes 65k

Mixed Fried Jade Kailan 30k

Wow! This was superb. It's very different from any other vegetables' dish. Tasted very good, fresh and well-seasoned. Well for those who knew me for years, you must know that I didn't really like vegetables. But this one, like I said before, was different. I like it. Not just like, I love it. And I think all of my friends, agree with me. :)

Claypot Bak Kut Teh

When I knew they are Malaysian Bak Kut Teh, I was in doubt. Why? Because I didn't really like Bak Kut Teh with so many herbs. But when I tried this bak kut teh, it was different from the one that I tried in Malaysia. This one wasn't too many herbs, a little bit sweet and quite fresh. And the meat was very tender. Served with tofu and tofu skin. Better eat while still hot.

Deep Fried Pumpkins with Salted Egg Yolk 40k

Most of my friends said that this one was super the best. But me no likey. Well, sorry, not my type. So I let them finished it. :)

Stir Fried Clams with Chili Sauce 40k

Claypot Dry Bak Kut Teh

This one was favourite too, but I prefer the previous Bak Kut Teh. This one was too spicy for me. Sorry, not my type of Bak Kut Teh, I guess.

Overall, I was satisfied with the food. I hope they will open another outlet near me. LOL. See you soon, Nanyang.
