Arts Cafe Raffles Hotel Kuningan Jakarta

August 19th, 2015. Finally, I came to Raffles Hotel. Yaaaaay. They opened around 5 months ago, and I just had chance to see inside them. Located beside Lotte Shopping Avenue, this hotel introduced something different from other hotel. It's very artsy. I went for lunch at their Arts Cafe.

Expect a virtual tableau of art and cuisine, where the palette of sights, sounds, textures and aromas from open kitchens create a delightful sensory experience. Enjoy an elegant buffet, or Continental and Asian à la carte offerings, served in chic interiors and a backdrop of vibrant Hendra Gunawan artwork.

The Buffet

Prices:
Lunch Buffet: 320k++/person
Dinner Buffet: 385k++/person

They served from salad, cold cuts, sushi, sashimi, western and asian.

      

Desserts

The desserts were in one island table. The unique thing was the chocolate sculpture and chocolate fountain in a unique design. The desserts were in various items, such as: Asian sweet, Espresso tiramisu, Apricot kuchen, Strawberry cheese cake, Kalingo 65% valhrhona chocolate sphere, Rhubarb & strawberry crumble.

         

Show Kitchen

Every day they served almost different menu for this show kitchen. They served in a small portion, but we could try every single dish.

Singapore Chili Crab Bun

This was their signature dish. They said everybody loved it. It's a charcoal bun filled with crab meat. Served with sweet & spicy sauce. Love the charcoal bun. Love the chili crab sauce. Love it so much. I think, one isn't enough for me. LOL.

Salmon En Croute

Pan seared salmon sous vide. Served with mashed potato, spinach and mushrooms. The salmon was very well-seasoned. The mashed potato was very tasty with delicate texture. I wonder, can I have another portion? :D

Aglio E Olio

Pasta angel hair with garlic and oil. Served with olive and cheese. Actually Aglio E Olio was never my favourite. I prefer bolognese or carbonara. But, the pasta was very delicious with perfect texture. So, it finished in a jiffy.

Southern Chicken with Curry Sauce

It's chicken karaage with curry sauce. Quite unusual but the curry sauce wasn't that strong. Sometimes curry was too strong that overpowered the other ingredients. But this one was perfect for each other. :)

Short Ribs

It's a very tender beef short ribs served with mashed potato and sautéed vegetables. Yup, it's very tender and juicy and delicious and OMG I was amazed by the taste of it.

Crackers

It consist of salmon skin, squid ink and rice flour. I didn't try the crackers because my tummy was already full. Next time, I should. :)
