Kecapi Cafe and Bistro Avissa Suites Karet Pedurenan Jakarta

December 8th, 2013. I was invited to Kecapi Cafe and Bistro which located in Avissa Suites. They had this foodtasting for my family :) So it's like a small reunion with my cousins. They served so many food. We had so much fun there.

The place is not very spacious, but quite cozy. They have outdoor and indoor so you can enjoy the lovely weather outside. Let me give you sneak peek of their place.

APPETIZER

Broccoli Platter 25k

Fried marinated broccoli served with tar tar sauce. A plate full of broccoli hihihi.. for those who are vegetarians, this is heaven :D Broccoli is an edible green plant in the cabbage family, whose large flower head is used as a vegetable. When I was a little girl *yeah, once in a long time ago hahaha* I never like broccoli. Now? Still not my favorite hihihihi.. But this menu is quite delicious. Actually you should try it yourself, and tell me about it later, ok? :)

Chawan Mushi 20k

Steamed egg in bowl with topping mushroom, chicken and crab. I like this chawan mushi. First when I tried chawan mushi in some restaurant, I thought it was tofu hihihi. But turns out that it was egg custard. Chawanmushi (茶碗蒸し,Chawanmushi, literally "tea cup steam" or "steamed in a tea bowl") is an egg custard dish found in Japan that uses the seeds of ginkgo. Unlike many other custards, it is usually eaten as a dish in a meal.

Mozarella Cheese Stick 30k

Fried cutlet of mozarella cheese served with Thai sauce. This is one of my favorites. Cutlet here means a fried breaded cutlet. Breaded cutlet is a dish made from coating a cutlet of meat with breadcrumbs and deep-frying it. In stick style, this mozarella cheese stick is perfect for snacks if you are too full to eat big meal. You will find yourself cannot stop eating this hahaha just like me :D

Tofu Salt Pepper 25k

Fried silky tofu sauteed with salt and pepper. I love tofu. This silky tofu was very tender. Sliding perfectly in your mouth. :D

Udang Dollar 30k

Mini rounded of bread stuffed with minced shrimp. I love udang dollar!!! Yummy. It was so tender and soft. You can taste the shrimp and bread mix together deliciously. Must-try!!!

LIGHT BITES

Monte Cristo Sandwich 35k

Crispy toasted bread filled with chicken and cheese. Another favorite. I really like their bread. So soft and tender. Love this sandwich. You should try it too :D

ASIAN DELIGHT

Ayam Saus Rujak 45k

Breaded fried chicken served with Indonesian traditional rojak sauce. I never like rojak. So, it will be subjective review for this menu hahahaha I think you better try it yourself. The chicken was tender though :)

Thai Basil Chicken 45k

Thai style of stir fried minced chicken with chili and basil leaves. It was delicious, with fine balance of fiery hot and savory. The basil leaves were so crunchy, very unique rite? I just loved this dish.

WESTERN DELIGHT

Baby Rosemary Chicken 60k

Grilled marinated chicken served with mix salad. The savory chicken was marinated perfectly with rosemary. Rosemary is a woody, perennial herb with fragrant. You should try this one. Recommended.

Chicken Steak 60k

Fried marinated chicken with BBQ sauce served with mix vegetable. The chicken steak was tender. It's so hard nowadays to find tender steak. You won't get a better crunch than this. Crispy on the outside and oh-so-juicy on the inside. What could be better?

Grilled Marinated Chicken Steak 70k

Grilled marinated chicken with BBQ sauce served with mix vegetable. This menu was as delicious as the chicken steak. This was absolutely irresistible :)

UDON FESTIVAL

Udon Goreng Seafood 40k

Fried Japanese noodle with prawn and fish ball. I guess you know that Udon is not my favorite. But this udon tasted like my childhood favorite noodle in Karet. Love it to the max!!!

Udon Stir Fry (Recommended for Vegetarian) 45k

Fried Japanese noodle with broccoli, cauli flower, carrot and capsicum. This menu is recommended for vegetarian because only vegetables in it. So, vegetarian people, do not worry. No meat in this menu :D

DESSERT

Chocolate Lava with Vanilla Ice Cream 30k

Until now, this is the best chocolate lava.. Legend has it that this chocolate lava cake was the result of a major culinary disaster. The dessert was meant to be individual chocolate cakes, but a cook took them out of the ovens too soon, and the centers where still liquefied. Since there was no time to cook them further, the Chef simply introduced the dessert as chocolate “lava” cake.

Deep Fried Ice Cream 25k

There are 2 flavours, chocolate and vanilla. I used to love fried ice cream, and it's so hard to find the good one. Now I know where to find it, yaaaaaaaay!!!

COFFEE SELECTION

Affogato 30k

Espresso served with ice cream. What can go wrong with espresso and ice cream? Never! An affogato (Italian, "drowned") is a coffee-based beverage. It usually takes the form of a scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso.

Cafe Latte 30k

This cafe latte is so cute with the art latte :) A latte is a coffee drink made with espresso and steamed milk. The term as used in English is a shortened form of the Italian caffè latte or caffellatte, which means "milk coffee".

BEVERAGES

Kecapi Juice 35k

Mix of pak choi, mango and pineapple. I drank this juice and didn't know what are the ingredients. After I tasted it, I found it very delicious. And it made me shock when I read the ingredients. Pak choi? OMG! Hahaha. How come a drink with pak choi in it could be so delicious??? Aaaaaaargh!! Craving for more huhuhuhu

Lychee Slush 35k

Mix of lychee and pineapple. The color is white yellowish. Not very colorful but the taste was okay. Lychee is always my favorite, and I like pineapple too :)

And that's all!! My tummy couldn't accept anymore food hahaha.. So, do not hesitate to try this Kecapi. They provide good food. Thanks Kecapi for inviting us.
