[HONGKONG] Starbucks Coffee at Sai Yee Mongkok Hong Kong

September 4th, 2018. Sebelum gw ke Hong Kong, kebetulan cici gw udah ke sana duluan pas Desember 2017. Jadi dari doi gw tau kalo ada Starbucks yang lucu di sana. Katanya Starbucks yang di Mongkok. Pas sebelum pindah ke Central di Hong Kong Island, kita mampir deh ke sana.

Located at Sai Yee Street of Mongkok, this concept store is built to reflect the exceptional cultural characteristics of Mongkok, and serves as a third place that Hong Kong people can be proud of. With efforts to promote arts and culture, we partnered with local lifestyle brand G.O.D. and artist Stanley Wong (a.k.a Anothermountainman) in designing for this 6,000 square feet two-story store. The store exposes a unique side of Hong Kong to visitors that resonates with the local residents and art community, highlighting the visual arts in the store experience.

Awalnya gw kirain modelnya mirip theater film, karena cici gw blg, "lucu, bangkunya kaya bangku bioskop jaman dulu." Well, ternyata maksudnya literally bangkunya. Model bangku bioskop jadul yang kalo gak didudukin, terlipat. Pas mo didudukin, baru dibuka lipatannya. Unik ya. Di dindingnya juga banyak poster2 film jaman dulu. Keren.

As movies play a crucial role in local culture, it is also an essential element for Sai Yee Street Starbucks where a mini theatre is introduced with a screen, HD video player and excellent audio device. Starbucks Hong Kong partnered with Hong Kong Film Archive of Leisure and Cultural Services Department for the first time and ran a yearlong movie exhibition. Movie seminars had also been organized for the public free of charge as a platform for cultural exchange.

Karena nambah saus raspberry, gw dicharge HKD 4, tapi emang gw udah tau, di Jakarta juga kena charge. Tapi jatohnya di Hong Kong ini harga segelas frappuccino hampir 2 kali lipat. Kalo soal rasa, mirip kok dengan yg di Jakarta hahaha. Jadi cukup puas deh gw minum minuman favorit gw di sana.

Pineapple Bun HK$ 16

Butter bun-nya enak banget nih. Teksturnya lembut, butternya juga generous banget. Recommended deh kalo ke Starbucks. Oya, walau sebutnya pineapple tapi bukan dari rasanya atau isinya atau toppingnya, tapi dari tekstur bentuknya hehehe.
