February 12th, 2017. After one unsuccessful food tasting this afternoon *we have to reschedule* we drove ourselves to Wijaya area. There's a new place just opened 2 weeks ago. Well, it's always a fun thing to try new place. We didn't want to be competitive, but what the heck, everybody's a rival! LOL. I presented to you. León.
León offers pleasure seekers a sophisticated and relaxed inner city drinking and dining experience. Indulge in our delicate cocktails and unique twist on classics. Located not so far from Senopati area, León occupy the building with a coffee shop and an office. From the facade, it's like any other restaurant. But from inside, it's fantastic. A marvelous way to "wow" us. I was stunned with the place. It was like a big house in a movie. Hahaha.. If you cannot imagine my words, just go there and experience it by yourself. A different vibes from any other place. Beautiful!

Chicken Quesadilla 45k
Spiced chicken breast, cumin flat bread, cheddar cheese, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo
At first, I didn't wanna try this quesadilla at all, but all my friends said that it was delicious. And it was indeed delicious. The chicken was smooth and tasty. The cheddar cheese mixed perfectly with the guacamole and sour cream. I gobbled it up without a fuss.
In Mexican cuisine, pico de gallo, also called salsa fresca, is made from chopped tomato, onion, coriander leaves, fresh serranos, salt, and key lime juice. Other ingredients, such as shrimp or avocado, are also sometimes added.

Roasted Half Chicken 105k
24-hour marinated Peri peri chicken, roasted vegetables, tomato salsa, Thai chilli dipping sauce
The chicken was a little bit dry, but I love the peri peri sauce. It was spicy but very tasty. The roasted vegetables were also good, eggplant was my favourite, of course. Didn't try the dipping sauce at all since the chicken had already appetizing.
Piri piri sauce (used as a seasoning or marinade) is Portuguese in origin and "especially prevalent in Angola, Namibia, Mozambique and South Africa". It is made from crushed chillies, citrus peel, onion, pepper, salt, lemon juice, bay leaves, paprika, pimiento, basil, oregano, and tarragon.
Short Ribs 145k
Vietnamese BBQ-marinated boneless ribs, green chilli soy dipping sauce, gochujang
Most scrumptious dish! I love the taste of the boneless ribs. It was sweet and savoury with wonderful flavours. Lip-smacking good. Happiness all around the table. The ribs were superbly tender but not falling apart. The sauce was so splendid you didn't want to miss a drop. Super recommended. Topnotch!
Gochujang is a savory, spicy, and pungent fermented Korean condiment made from red chili, glutinous rice, fermented soybeans, and salt.
Duck Platter 140k
Roasted boneless half duck, nuoc cham, cilantro, mint, green salad, served with steamed rice
The duck looked so delicious. On second thought, it was just okay for my taste bud. Hoping for more tender duck, I only ate one piece and let my friends ate the rest. Although the skin was fantastic, I still prefer juicier meat. The steamed rice was delectable with great texture.
Nước chấm is a common name for a variety of Vietnamese "dipping sauces" that are served quite frequently as condiments. It is commonly a sweet, sour, salty, savoury and/or spicy sauce.
SIDES
Mac n' Cheese 40k
Delicious side dish. My friends thought it was mediocre taste, but I loved it. I tasted a better one, but this one was also good for my palate. For a side dish, the portion was just nice. Definitely will order it again and won't take picture of it so I know how it taste when still warm.
Cannot wait to be back to León again. Definitely a keeper!
