[CLOSED] Sophie Authentique Kemang Jakarta

November 17th, 2014. I've never been to Authentique Kemang. Some people said that it was a very nice place to have a good time with your friends. But, too bad, I rarely went to Kemang, so I had no idea about the place. I didn't even know where it is. Until one day, my buddies told me about the new place that is opening-soon called Sophie Authentique near their place. And turns out that it was the second branch of Authentique Kemang, but they changed the name to Sophie Authentique. And.. voila.. I'm here!!! The place is beside Phoenam, not far from Lotte Supermarket. It's really eye-catching with the blue colour of the facade.

First step into the place, I've already felt the comfort. They have indoor and outdoor seats. The indoor seats are spacious with a minimalist interior. White and blue colours dominate the place. On the wall they hang a fork-knife-spoon. So big. Hihi.. But I couldn't take my eyes off the cute fish that was hanging on the doorknob. So cute!!! Do they have more like that? Can I have it? Hmm.. if I take it, will they know? LOL. Please Yen, stop the imagination. Just take the picture of it, and bring the picture home. Don't take the fish! Don't! :D

In the kids corner, they hang a picture. A very cute one!!! OMG! I want it too. Hmm.. OK, let's think about something else. LOL. But, actually, it's so cute, I wanna sit there. I think I have to come again with Ichel. She will like the place. It will be her playground hahaha.. But, true, I love it.

I really like the way they display the pastry and the cake. Another distraction of my visit. I keep saying to myself, "Keep coming back! Keep coming back!" Yup, the pastry and the cake are so darling. Notice the Eiffel tower? I'm in France!! Even the table tag are so french. Oui!

Do you notice the flowers and plants? They are so adorable. And I really like the swinging chair. I wanna sit there, but I'm afraid I will fall hahaha.. Actually, I can imagine myself at a beautiful park. Sitting in the swinging chair, holding my cup of tea. English breakfast, of course. Looking at my bestest buddies who are laughing happily in front of me. Aaah, what a happy day, I believe. I think I'm happy anywhere with them. Ok, back to the place. Look at the tables!!! I think I can sit there all day long. Lovely place.

Swiss Chocolate 40k

It looks so tempting. But for me it's too sweet. And the chocolate is too much. I prefer a balance between the chocolate and the cake. But for those who love sweet chocolate, this is heaven!! Combine it with tea, it will be perfect!

Blueberry Cake 40k

I like it. The cake is perfect. I can taste the moist of the cake. A very strong one. And it was very good. Thanks to Authentique, they're using blueberry, not any other berries. Blueberry is not as sour as other berries. It has a slight  sweetness. Recommended for an anti-sour person like me hahahahaha.. Yup, really recommended!

Canele 20k (100k for box of 6)

This is the second time I try Canele. Hahaha.. And I call myself a Foodie??? LOL. Yeah, I'm not into cake, actually. I'm more a meat person. I prefer meat than dessert. But, since there are so many new desserts place, I, who claimed myself a foodie (haha), should try them, right? So, here I am, munching the canele. And it is heavenly luscious. But, I prefer more crunchy for the pastry. The filling is délicieux. Definitely. But the pastry is a little bit too tough for my taste-bud. Overall.. hmm.. Super recommended!!!

A canelé is a small French pastry with a soft and tender custard center and a dark, thick caramelized crust. The dessert, which is in the shape of small, striated cylinder approximately five centimeters in height, is a specialty of the Bordeaux region of France but can often be found in Parisianpâtisseries as well. Made from egg, sugar, milk and flour flavored with rum and vanilla, the custard batter is baked in a mold, giving the canelé a caramelized crust and custard-like inside.

So, for my first visit, I am very happy. Thanks to my bestest buddies who introduced me to this lovely place. It will be my new hang out place with you guys. I can do my blogging here, or just eating the canele with hot tea, enjoying the moment with a good book maybe. Lovely. I just love this place. Come, come to this place, you won't regret. je aims l'endroit.
