[CLOSED] Ellexito Eatery and Pastry Kemang Jakarta

November 17th, 2014. I continue my culinary journey today. Located across Food Garden, Ellexito is easy to find. Actually, I know the place from my best buddy. He's the one that keep telling me about this place. And I was so curious. This is a new restaurant, and it seems everybody had already went there. Huft. Of course, I don't wanna miss a thing hahaha.. I should go there. I told my buddy, "Please take me there! Please take me there!" LOL. And, now, here we are!!!

The place is divided into 2 levels. First floor for non-smoking area, second floor for smoking area. We go to level 2 to find a brighter spot. Too bad, the weather is a little bit cloudy. The light isn't too bright. But, can you imagine if we chose level 1? Fhiiuuhh, we definitely won't find sunlight downstair. Actually, the place is very minimalist. But I love the pictures that are hanging on the wall. And of course, the mirrors. LOL. I love taking pictures through mirror. Lalalala..

APPETIZER - LIGHT BITE

Asian Spicy Fried Calamari 47k

Fresh calamari marinated with asian spices, battered and fried to crispy goodness.

This is so spicy. I notice there are bird's eye chilis (cabe rawit) on top of the fried calamari. Kyaaaaa, I don't like chili!! But, surprisingly, I cannot stop munching the calamari.. chomp chomp chomp..  The calamari is delicious, but actually it's a little bit too pricey huhuhuhu.. For 47k, I expected more calamari.. *sobbing* Please give me more calamari hihihi..

Salted Egg Spaghetti 65k

Spaghetti served with salted egg sauce and fried marinated prawn.

I don't like salted egg, but I love salted egg when you combine it with pasta. Btw, I love the prawns!! Yaaay, I got 2 pieces. It's crunchy perfectly. The texture of the spaghetti is a little bit too soft. Sometimes people prefer the right texture. :) How about the salted egg flavour? They can do better, I guess. In my humble opinion, it's too bland for salted egg. But, then again, everyone has different palate.

Cheesy Baked Rice 38k

Butter rice with tuna and melted cheese on top.

I LOVE IT! Butter rice! Melted cheese! What could go wrong?? Never!!! Hahaha.. Wow, I'm so excited. The right texture of the butter rice. The perfect flavour of the melted cheese. And don't forget the nice touch of the shredded tuna. They match beyond compare. They have succeeded in making me melting, literally. Recommended.

Ellexito's Chicken Steak 55k

Chicken steak with homemade creamy sauce, French fries and honey citrus salad.

The aroma of this chicken steak is even make me hungrier than before. I try the french fries first, because I'm so picky when we talk about french fries. And.. I love it!! The french fries is crunchy outside, fluffy inside. Yeah, well, I still prefer if it's crunchy inside too. But the flavour is so delicious, I totally forgot about the fluffiness. :) Ok, now let's talk about the chicken. It's not dry but it's not juicy too. I prefer if it's juicier. But, overall, it's one good chicken steak.

What can I say about Ellexito? Hmm.. the environment is okay, it's a nice place to do my blogging things. The food is delicious, but I believe they can do better. In the end, it's so nice to have a good meal here with my bestest buddies. :)
