Häagen-Dazs /ˈhɑːɡəndɑːz/ is an ice cream brand, established by Reuben and Rose Mattus in the Bronx, New York, in 1961. Starting with only three flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and coffee, the company opened its first retail store in Brooklyn, New York, on November 15, 1976. The business now has franchises throughout the United States and many other countries around the world.

Häagen-Dazs ice cream holds the distinction of being one of the few commercial ice cream brands not to use stabilizers such as guar gum, xanthan gum, or carageenan. They now started using corn syrup in many of their flavors, such as the Vanilla Swiss Almond, according to their website. In addition to ice cream, the company also produces ice cream bars, ice cream cakes, sorbet, frozen yoghurt, and gelato.

Häagen-Dazs didn't wanna miss the chance to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. So, they made ice cream mooncakes as the new creation, because mooncakes is a tradition in Mid-Autumn Festival. Limited only since August 8th to September 8th, 2014 at every outlets, except Medan and Bali.

Mooncake (simplified Chinese: 月饼; traditional Chinese: 月餅; pinyin: yuè bĭng) is a Chinese bakery product traditionally eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival (Zhongqiujie). The festival is for lunar worship and moon watching, when mooncakes are regarded as an indispensable delicacy. Mooncakes are offered between friends or on family gatherings while celebrating the festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the four most important Chinese festivals.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is an official harvest festival celebrated by Chinese and Vietnamese peoples. The festival is held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar and Vietnamese calendar, during a full moon, which is in September or early October in the Gregorian calendar, within 15 days to the autumnal equinox.

First, they provided a traditional mooncake. A mooncake with "pandan" flavour and egg yolk filling.

Who loves sour taste? Not me, of course. But I know, there are a lot of people who loves sour taste. And, what I love about this mooncake, when the strawberry mixed with mango sorbet, the sour was light, not overpower. And with the beautiful colour, it's already stealing people's attention.
