The place was cozy, but when I arrived there, it was crowded by invited people, so I couldn't take many pictures. Yes, I was late. Huft. Thanks to someone. And, I was in silver bird!! Ok, long story. Hahaha.. Yeah, just a reminder for me every time I read this one hahaha..

Sundubu Chige

This was the best menu that night. It's hot and spicy but taste so good. I don't like spicy food but this one was sooooo delicious. I had to steal the spoon from Hans' hand. I'm the one who should finish it, not him. Huft.. Oh, I love the tofu and seafood and vegetables, ok mostly everything. So fresh, the soup was remind me of Tom Yam soup. Ugh, drooling now!!

Sundubu jjigae (순두부찌개) or is a hot and spicy jjigae (Korean stew) dish made with uncurdled dubu (tofu), seafood (oysters, mussels, clams and shrimp are common ingredients), vegetables, mushrooms, onion, scallions, and gochujang or gochu garu (chili powder) in Korean cuisine. The dish is assembled and cooked directly in the serving vessel, which is typically made of thick, robust porcelain, but can also be ground out of solid stone. A raw egg is put in the jjigae just before serving, and the dish is delivered while still bubbling vigorously. This dish is eaten with a bowl of cooked white rice and several banchan (side dishes).

Bibimbab

I think every single korean restaurant must have this kind of dish. It's a mixed rice bowl. So, it was a bowl of rice, topped with vegetables, meat and raw egg. Then you stirred it before eating. The taste of this bibimbab was a little too sweet for me. Maybe I should ask for more rice hahaha..

Bibimbap (비빔밥, Korean pronunciation: [pibimbap], sometimes anglicized bi bim bap or bi bim bop) is a signature Korean dish. The word literally means "mixed rice". Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (sautéed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste), soy sauce, or doenjang. A raw or fried egg and sliced meat (usually beef) are common additions. The ingredients are stirred together thoroughly just before eating. It is best served hot.

Steamed Egg

Ugh, egg was my favourite. Of course, I prefer sunny side-up, but I can eat every kind of eggs. Let's say, scrambled egg, omelette, boiled egg, everything lah. So, when I saw this steamed egg, I was like, "Yay, egg!" The steamed egg was nice. The texture was smooth and silky. Just add some soy sauce if you need more flavour.

Haemul Toppoki

Last year, I ate toppoki for the first time. It was quite good. But this haemul toppoki was not as good as the sundubu chige hihihi.. But the toppoki was good :) The soup was fresh, full of seafood.

Tteokbokki (also known as topokki) is a popular Korean snack food made from soft rice cake, fish cake and sweet red chili sauce. It is commonly purchased from street vendors or pojangmacha. Originally it was called tteok jjim (떡찜) and was a savory braised dish of sliced rice cake, meat, eggs, and seasoning. Haemul tteokbokki(해물 떡볶이seafood tteokbokki)

Galbi (Beef Short Ribs)

Kalbi or galbi generally refers to a variety of gui or grilled dishes in Korean cuisine that are made with marinated beef (or pork) short ribs in a ganjang-based sauce (Korean soy sauce). In the Korean language, galbi literally means "rib" and can refer to cooked or uncooked ribs. Although the dish's full name is galbi gui, the word "gui" (grilling) is commonly omitted. Suwon and Los Angeles are particularly known for their galbi.

Dwaeji Bulgogi (Spicy Pork)

Daeji bulgogi is another popular Korean meat dish similar to bulgogi.  However, instead of using beef, thin sliced pork loin is marinated in a specially blended red chili pepper paste with various assortments of vegetables. The meat is marinated with a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, sugar, ginger roots, rice wine and gochujang which is the base sauce for this dish. It is marinated for 30-60 minutes to bring out the depth and intensity of flavors.

Dakgalbi (Spicy Chicken)

Dak galbi, also romanized dalk galbi, is a popular Korean dish generally made by stir-frying marinated diced chicken in a gochujang (chili pepper paste) based sauce, and sliced cabbage, sweet potato, scallions, onions, perilla leaves, and tteok (rice cake) together on a hot plate. It is a local specialty food for the city of Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, where dak galbi originates. Because of its origin, the dish is also called Chunchŏn dak galbi.

Gunjung Dakgalbi (Sweet Marinated Chicken)

Dakgangjeong (닭강정) is a deep-fried crispy chicken dish glazed in a sticky, sweet, and spicy sauce. It’s traditionally made with a whole chicken that’s been cut up. Some people make it only with chicken wings. However, dakgangjeong made with bite sized boneless chicken pieces has become a recent food craze in Korea, adding to the growing trends of Korean fried chicken. I personally like the boneless version because it’s quicker and easier to make.

Bulgogi (Marinated Beef)

Bulgogi (Korean pronunciation: [pulɡoɡi]; Korean: 불고기) is a Korean dish that usually consists of grilled marinated beef.

You can grill all the meat without any oil or sauce in the grilling plate. They are already marinated. But, if you need more flavour, you can mix the meat with the sauces they provide, such as Samjang, Soyu, KogiKogi and Tokkochi sauce.

Ssal Pudding (Korean Rice Pudding)

I tried 2 flavours. Original and Chocolate. They were so delicious. The texture was creamy and delicate. Recommended dessert!
